This group meets in-person and on Zoom on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at 4:30pm. We meet at the Lawrence Public Library on the lower floor in room A.

Indivisible chapters such as ours are encouraged to follow a “snowflake” model with a leadership team in the center and action groups radiating out. Using this model, all members can find a niche that fits their passion for action. Currently, we have five action groups:

Protecting Institutions: This group is working toward a series of town halls gathering stakeholders from areas like education, medicine and social service to address their needs after their federal funding has been cut.

Disrupt and Disobey: This group participates in rallies and protests with others from multiple groups to bring attention to the fact that our democratic government is being taken over.

Climate Change: This Hands-on group is concentrating on harvesting and donating produce that may go to waste. Other future actions are saving energy by helping others make their homes more energy efficient.

Truth Brigade: The goal of this group is to correct disinformation; the deliberate lies told to achieve personal, financial, and political gain.

Immigration: This group will stay informed of any local efforts by the current administration to unlawfully arrest and deport U.S. residents without due process.

We are raising awareness in Lawrence, KS to the new and ongoing challenges that we are all facing today. Join us in making a difference. We are united for change, committed to community and standing up for our town and others. Help us to promote action that will protect our future.
