Yard Signs to Spread the Word!

In the words of blues musician Keb Mo, “I have a bad feeling that the worst is yet to come.” It’s time to ACT NOW by displaying a yard sign to demonstrate your commitment to save democracy and to encourage others to get active and join one of the many movements underway. Collectively, we are the guardians of democracy. It’s going to take us all.
To this end, the Yard Sign Project team in Douglas County produced 300 signs at the end of May bearing the following image after raising more than $2,000 in pledges to finance the project.
The objectives for the project are for the community to display its support efforts to resist the current administration's actions which violate provisions of the Constitution and to provide a link to ongoing organizing efforts by various organizations through the Arc of Justice newsletter.
Signs are currently being sold for $5 each and include a metal frame. You can purchase a sign at the weekly protest at 9th and Massachusetts and at other upcoming protest events in Lawrence. Payment can be made by cash, check, or via Venmo. Signs may also be ordered online at this link:
The order form includes payment instructions and how to arrange for delivery.
Thanks for your interest and participation. Once you have your sign, post a photo of yourself with the sign on social media. The power of the people is greater than the people in power.

I reported some of your yard signs for yard sign placement violations during election season. Lucky for you, the city doesn’t keep records of yard sign violations, which I then proceeded to file a report to the Kansas Attorney General’s Office when I was told that by Code Enforcement. Haven’t heard back from the State, so that means no news is good news—probably.
Democracy/the Republic is good, but breaking the rules of our city is not, especially when they are violated intentionally, over and over and over and over—and so on.
