TOWN HALL, Big Beautiful Bill: And The Impact on Douglas County Health

Thursday, October 30, 6:30-8pm, Lawrence Public Library

One of the Lawrence Indivisible sub-groups, Saving Institutions, will hold an informational town hall in the auditorium of the Lawrence Public Library on October 30th from 6:30 to 8.00.

There will be a panel of representatives from several local organizations who will speak to inform the public of what possible changes may be coming and the options that we have to prepare for these changes. The panelists will represent:

Lawrence Memorial Hospital

Alliance for Healthy Kansas

Friends/Family of Haskell (HINU)

We expect that these cuts will be an existential challenge for some of our fellow citizens and it will impact all of us not just those who will be experiencing the loss of these supports. We want to start talking about it now.

There will be time allowed for questions from the audience.
