Save the Wakarusa Wetlands Forum
Lawrence Public Library Auditorium, March 7 @ 2:00pm
By Connor O’Reilly
“The Indigenous Struggle is the longest continuous fight in this nation’s history. With the City of Lawrence’s decision to demolish the Wakarusa Wetlands, a historically Indigenous land, we must all come together and listen to their voices and understand what this means for the people of Lawrence and the ecosystem and what we can do to help resist this decision.
Please come to the gathering “Save the Wakarusa Wetlands” at 2 pm on March 7 at 707 Vermont St. in Lawrence, KS.
Students, professors, educators, and activists from Haskell Indian Nations University will join forces for this educational forum to prevent the destruction of the Wakarusa River Valley.”
