GOOD TROUBLE LIVES ON RALLY
Mark Your Calendar, Thursday July 17th!
Time
Thursday, July 17
5 – 7pm CDT
Location
Watson Park (Train Park)
727 Kentucky St
Lawrence, KS 66044
Our goal is to have enough people to line both sides of 6th Street, from the Train Park to City Hall, catching the eye of MANY drivers as they make their way home after work. Please help us by recruiting anyone and everyone you can to maximize our visibility. Thank you!
Good Trouble Lives On is a national day of nonviolent action to respond to the attacks posed on our civil and human rights by the Trump administration and to remind them that in America, the power lies with the people.
On July 17, the anniversary of Congressman John Lewis’s passing, we’re taking action across the country to defend our democracy and carry forward his legacy of Good Trouble. Join us for a national day of nonviolent action as we rally, march, host teach-ins, press conferences, and vigils to demand that Congress fight back and protect our freedom to vote!
Accessibility: Mainly flat ground, paved sidewalks
Restrooms and cooling station: Available one block away at the Lawrence Public Library.
Please register so you can be included in the national count of participants: https://www.mobilize.us/john-lewis-actions/event/807624/
